ROLE OF MATH GAME APPS ON ATTITUDE TOWARDS MATHEMATICS AMONG PRIMARY STUDENTS IN KOGI STATE

Mathematics is an essential part of the Nigerian education vision. widely perceived as a tedious and challenging subject to learn. Thus, math avoidance behavior trend that cuts across culture pervasive among young learners. Research has pointed relevance computer games in learning mathematics. Therefore, current study aimed examine role game apps on attitude primary school students Kogi State Nigeria towards A quasi-experimental design with pre-test post-tests two groups (experimental control) were adopted. Primary made up population study. Eighty-three (n = 83) comprising males females within age range 7 – 11 years mean (M=9.12) (SD= 1.22) randomly pooled from selected public schools participants. The assigned groups, group experimental group, while B represents control group. Before main studys commencement, mathematics was established (pre-test) using questionnaire. In post-test study, treatment student (group A) exposed app (Prodigy Math). result showed gaming significantly influenced (M 43.81, SD 9.54) compared 32.15, 5.27). An independent t-test conducted determine differences participants at MD 11.66 (95% CI, 7.92 15.16), t (81) 6.317, p .001. recommends use should be embedded curriculum.
